Our dear friend and faithful co-laborer in Christ Janet Peterson<\/a> went to be with the Lord on November 19, 2021. Janet and her husband Ivan were longtime supporters of\u2014and tireless workers for\u2014AOHE. Janet will be deeply missed by the AOHE family.<\/p>\n

I miss you Jan and you haven\u2019t even been gone a week. I know you are celebrating your new home with Yeshua and wouldn\u2019t come back if you could, but I miss you. Thank you for being my confidant and friend. Thank you for loving the Jewish people. Thank you for laughing and crying and praying with me. You were a faithful woman of God, sweet wife to Ivan, and my dear friend. You cared. I look forward to seeing you again sister.<\/p>\n

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up” (Ecc. 4:9-10 New International Version).<\/p>\n

Everyone Needs Someone

People need people and friends need friends,
and we all need love for a full life depends –
not on vast riches or great acclaim,
not on success or on worldly fame,
But just in knowing that someone cares,
and holds us close in their thoughts and prayers –
for only the knowledge that we’re understood,
makes everyday living feel wonderfully good,
And we deprive ourselves of life’s greatest need,
when we “lock up our hearts” and fail to heed,
The outstretched hand reaching to find,
a kindred spirit whose heart and mind,
are lonely and longing to somehow share,
our joys and sorrows and to make us aware,
That life’s completeness and richness depends,
on the things we share with our loved ones,
and friends.<\/p>\n
